Trigger Point Dry Needling
In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Heidi Botnick O’Hare is also highly skilled in trigger point dry needling, an extremely effective technique for alleviating acute and chronic myofascial pain patterns, ranging from sports related injuries, joint pain, post surgical pain, repetitive strain, fibromyalgia, and migraines.
Trigger points are defined as focal constrictions in the muscles or soft tissue that create local and or referred pain to an area of the body. This technique is also highly effective in helping to release holding patterns in the body, often developed over time from injuries, compensation, poor posture, or held emotional beliefs and patterns.
Trigger point dry needling is not only safe and effective when administered by a trained practitioner, but relief is faster and long lasting, especially when combined with other modalities as needed such as physical therapy, osteopathy, rolfing, chiropractic, or massage.
Patients often start to feel relief after 3 treatments, however every case is unique, with more chronic and long term conditions requiring a longer course of treatment
